HOW A BESPOKE COMMISSION WORKS
Commissioning a piece can feel like a big decision, so here's exactly what to expect, from your first message to
wearing the finished piece
1, Get in Touch
Send me an email with a rough idea of what you're after — even if it's just a feeling, an occasion, or a photo that's caught your eye. No detail is too small or too vague to start with.
2. Share Your Ideas & Budget
We'll talk through what you're imagining, any stones or metals you already have in mind, and your budget. Being upfront about budget early means I can design something that's genuinely right for you, rather than adjusting later. This discussion can take place via a phone call, email, zoom or in person at my studio.
3. Design Process
I'll put together initial design concepts based on our conversation, along with guidance on materials and stone options. For complex projects a small design / sourcing fee may be requested. This is a back-and-forth stage — we'll refine the design together until it feels exactly right before anything is made.
4. Confirm & Begin Making
Once you're happy with the final design, I'll confirm pricing and timeframe. A 50% deposit is required before making commences. I will then begin handcrafting your piece in my studio using traditional silversmithing techniques.
5. Updates Along the Way
For longer or more involved commissions, I'll keep you updated as the piece takes shape — you're welcome to ask for progress photos at any point.
6. Collection or Delivery
I will let you know as soon as the piece is complete. Your finished piece will be beautifully packaged and ready to wear or gift. Collection can be made from the studio or delivery arranged. Final payment is due on completion / collection or prior delivery.

How much does a bespoke piece cost?
It totally depends on the design, materials, process or stones involved. I'll always talk through budget honestly and early, so we can design something together that's genuinely right for you rather than adjusting things later.
As a rough guide most bespoke pieces start from :
Silver - £300
9ct gold - £950
18ct gold - £1300
Platinum - £1400
Remodelling starts from £400
Do I need to know exactly what I want?
Not at all. Some clients arrive with a clear vision, others with just a feeling or an occasion in mind. Part of my job is helping shape that into a design through conversation and sketches as needed.
How long does a commission take?
Most bespoke pieces take between 4-12 weeks from confirmed design to delivery. Timeframes vary depending on complexity, process and material sourcing, but I'll always give you a clear estimate upfront. If you have a specific or short deadline let me know when you first get in touch and I will always try to accommodate this for you.
Can you source stones for me?
Yes, of course. If you require precious stones I can source a small selection of options for you to view and choose from based on your budget and requirements.
Can I use my own stones or gold?
Yes — this is exactly what heirloom remodelling is about. In most cases sentimental stones or unworn yellow gold can be reset or remade into something new, keeping what matters most while giving it a fresh life. The suitability of your pieces will need to be assessed before we begin the process.
What metals do you remodel?
At present I only offer yellow gold remodelling. If you have platinum or white gold items that are not sentimental these can be scraped and the scrap value put towards the cost of your new piece. If additional gold is required for the new design this will be added to the overall cost.
Can you adjust an existing design instead of starting from scratch?
Yes — that's tailored customisation. If you love a piece from my collections, I can adjust the stone, metal, scale or details so it's made specifically for you. This is generally more cost effective than going fully bespoke.
Where are commissions made?
The majority of pieces are handcrafted by me, personally, in my studio in South London, using traditional silversmithing techniques. Transparency is important though and some pieces require specialist skills, such as engraving, mold casting or micro setting. For these projects I work with only the finest London craftspeople, helping support other small businesses and ensuring quality and vision are never compromised
How do we communicate during the process?
We can talk by message, email, or in person, whichever suits you. For longer commissions, I'll share updates and progress photos along the way if you'd like them.
What if I change my mind on the design?
I always want you to be happy with your bespoke piece, therefore purchase of materials and making of the piece only begins once a design has been fully agreed with you. At this point a 50% deposit of the final estimated cost will be taken and is non refundable. If you want to tweak the design after this point I will do my best to accommodate this, but further costs may be incurred.
How do I pay for my bespoke piece?
Payment can be made by bank transfer (preferable option) or card. A 50% deposit is required once the design is agreed and before making commences. Please note deposits are non refundable and remodelled, customised or bespoke items are not eligible for return or refund.
